Our Public Involvement and Engagement representatives

Public involvement is defined by INVOLVE, the national advisory group that supports public involvement, as “research being carried out ‘with’ or ‘by’ members of the public rather than ‘to’, ‘about’ or ‘for’ them.”

Public involvement and engagement are central to our Health and Care Economics Cymru activities. We have two public representatives on our Advisory Board who offer a public perspective on the development of Health and Care Economics Cymru and related research projects. By helping to shape the research agenda, the input of the Public Involvement and Engagement representatives ensures that research is relevant to the needs and concerns of people living in Wales and beyond.
